Most African governments offer health and nutrition services intended to meet the needs of their citizens. But despite their best efforts, limited resources often constrain their ability to do so. Unfortunately, those who need services the most tend to go unreached. This is where Dr, Nana Health Awareness Inc. comes in. By creating medical facilities in African and partnering with local health agencies, we are able to provide health and nutrition services to under-served men, women and children.

The Dr. Nana Health Awareness Foundation aims to work with God fearing volunteers in the United States offering quality, flexible, safe and highly affordable means of helping to enrich the health and well-being of the people of Africa especially in the poor and rural areas where where poverty and diseases are killing in the numbers. In addition to providing aid and assistance, the Dr. Nana Health Awareness foundation endeavors to increase education and heighten awareness through not only the skills and expertise taken by volunteers to the communities and institutions of Africa, but also through the experiences and lessons volunteers will in bring back to the United States.
The Dr. Nana Awareness Foundation Goals is to
· Make safe, quality international volunteer travel genuinely affordable by making arrangements for accommodation within the city of Douala and surrounding areas while serving the people.
. Assistance with channeling donations from local communities and organizations in the United States to assist with securing medical equipment and supplies for the 2020 DNA mission to Douala and the surrounding areas in Cameroon and Ghana, as was done on the 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 , 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 missions.
· Heighten awareness of medical issues in the United States and the Sub-Sahara Africa through first hand volunteer experiences with documentations and chart notes reaching out to the people has been the DNA mission since 2011.
. Authentic international volunteer travel experiences, achieved by living in Cameroon and working with local people, communities, organizations and families and the leaders.
.Education for both people of major Sub-Sahara African cities such as Douala and Bamenda in Cameroon and Accra and Kumasi in Ghana and Surrounding area (through Radio Broadcasting) and volunteers (through their volunteer travel experience and interaction with Ghanaians and Cameroonians.
.Provide an opportunity for Non Africans to experience the different African cultures and affordable international travel whilst making a difference.

The Dr. Nana Health Awareness Foundation aims to work with God fearing volunteers in the United States, Africa and the Caribbean basin offering quality, flexible, safe affordable strategies to help and enrich the health and well-being of the people especially those in poor and rural areas where poverty and diseases are taking numerous lives. In addition to providing aid and assistance, the Dr. Nana Health Awareness Foundation endeavor to increase education and heighten awareness of not only the skills and expertise of the volunteers in the communities and institutions of Africa and the Caribbean, but also to increase awareness of the patients and their families to prolong life. The experiences and lessons garnered by the volunteers in these countries will also be utilized to strengthen our system back in United States.

This service is provided in a welcoming and confidential space so as to encourage more persons to attend. Patients are also provided with medications that would promote a healthy lifestyle. This awareness is offered in developing countries such as Cameroon in Africa and Jamaica, in addition to sections of the United States of America."
About Our Cause
The Dr. Nana Health Awareness Foundation is a charity that focuses on providing health care for the less fortunate in Cameroon, Africa, the United States and Jamaica.
The Foundation's main focus is to address the silent killers of Diabetes and Hypertension. In that, not only does the health missions do health screening and educate the populous, but also, assist patients to control these illness so as to prolong life.
Though the missions seeks to address these main illnesses we also donate deworming medications for children, vitamins and prenatal medications. These supplies are handed out free of cost to patients.
The foundation aim is to focus on holistic health, hence care packages with food and clothing supplies are distributed when available. This provides some level of comfort for those in receipt.
The Foundation host weekly missions, in Sub-Saraha African cities, namely Douala and Bamenda in Cameroon on Saturdays. During these missions, patients from surrounding communities are afforded the opportunity to have tele- conference consultations with the medical team in the USA. Staff members are compensated for their services weekly. For larger missions, the medical team would be on the ground , at this point volunteers would assist in order to expedite a seamless process.
The Foundation, also offers these services in the United States at church services and has made visits to Jamaica to offer same.
These missions always receive great reception from the patients. Henceforth we intend to continue on this trajectory providing health awareness.to all ends of this world, as our charge is " healthy people, healthy world: together we are one"
